About us

Lighthorne is a small village in a valley in Warwickshire, about 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Warwick. Leamington Spa, Moreton Morrell, Kineton and Wellesbourne are all nearby.

We are proud of our Parish Church dedicated to St Laurence. The nave and chancel date from an 1876 rebuilding and the tower dates from 1773-4. The windows incorporate 16th century glass of national importance. We are proud of our traditional pub, The Antelope, which is thought to date from the early 18th century.  But most of all we are proud of our Village Hall built in 1960 which is very much at the heart of our village.

It is where we come together as a village for celebrations, entertainment and a huge number of activities but it is also a hall we are keen to share with you  – you can join in our many activities and events or hire the hall for your own. The amenity consists of a main hall with a capacity for 100 with a stage, toilets - including one with disabled access - a well equipped kitchen, tables, chairs, a meeting room and parking. There is a children's play area with modern equipment adjacent to the hall. The hall is currently well used for a variety of activities: an outreach Post Office; regular hirings; parties; themed suppers and events; electoral voting; community meetings; wedding receptions; exercise and dance classes and dramatic productions.

Lighthorne Village Hall is a charitable institution run as a non-profit organisation by a voluntary management committee.
